There lies a passion, spark, determination, and positivity behind her every step. Pouring some light on a young girl who moved to Darwin with zero connections and no friends in 2022 from India became an inspiration for many international students. She not only sets an example but has also already motivated many international students to think beyond the limits, to think out of their comfort zones, and to embrace many to ponder over living life to the fullest even if you are an international student. Introducing to you a very simple, yet passionate girl, Miss Isha, founder of Isha IELTS, PTE, and NAATI Classes.
People call me multi-talented and a multi-tasker. Well! I don’t know how I manage to balance all my studies, business, and co-curricular activities in just 24 hours. I have always believed in the phenomenon of multitasking that led me to learn the art of making 24 hours a day actually 26 hours. Let me shed some light on my journey. I was born and brought up in a family of educators, as my father is a principal and my mother is a lecturer, which has proven to be a sheer motivation for me to be highly qualified and actually acknowledge the fact that “Education is a powerful tool.”
Therefore, making myself educated and skilled enough to serve young minds, I have already done my bachelor’s in biochemistry, followed by a master’s in biochemistry, then a bachelor’s in education from one of the renowned universities in India, that is Panjab University, Chandigarh, followed by a master’s in teaching (secondary) from Charles Darwin University, Australia.
I still remember, I was always passionate about teaching, as I have seen my parents doing the same. As soon as I finished my secondary education, I started giving private tuitions to students for science, mathematics, and English at the age of 16. While I was pursuing my graduation and post-graduation, I was so enthusiastic about teaching that I used to finish my university at 5 pm in the evening, and then I took private coaching classes for teenagers till 9 pm at night. Honestly, I just loved that part of the teaching cycle.
During the end of my post-graduation era, I was clear with my thought process that I would be moving abroad, so of course the first thing I did was IELTS, and I was targeting 7788 in IELTS, as I wanted to pursue a Master of Teaching. I joined one coaching center in Chandigarh that was owned by a renowned female over there. I did my preparations for almost a month, and I used to watch that lady every day. Ultimately, she became my inspiration; that one day I am also going to own an institute like hers, where I am going to help thousands of students actually achieve their desired scores for English exams.
BUT… Guess what! COVID happened! Everything was shut down; my visa process was delayed for the next 90 Days. However, I didn’t stop. During the lockdown, I thought of offering FREE IELTS classes. I started promoting my first FREE batch of IELTS commencing from 21st May; I still remember the date. To my surprise, I had 31 students in my first-ever online class on Zoom. It was unbelievable. I taught all of them for the next 30 days and even helped them crack their IELTS exam, and that’s where I realized my potential.
At this point, I didn’t look back. I expanded. I had multiple batches in a day. I even started guiding students for PTE. My students were getting extraordinary scores, like literally 8s in IELTS speaking and 90s in PTE. I started my YouTube channel, Isha IELTS, PTE & NAATI CLASSES, as I wanted to help students on an international level.
And then, I got my student visa granted, and I moved to Darwin to pursue a Master of Teaching (Secondary) in 2022. Even after moving to Darwin, I continued my passion for teaching PTE and IELTS. I started taking face-to-face classes of students from multiple nationalities in Darwin, such as Nepalese, Africans, Filipinos, and Chinese likewise. Luckily, I got my permanent residency in Darwin after 1.5 years, and I permanently moved to Sydney.
From Day 1, I was hunting for a space to open my dream coaching center in the heart of Blacktown. You won’t believe it; I was having such strong connections with my students already from my online sessions, and even before I leased a space, I had almost 50 students from Sydney who were waiting to take face-to-face classes from me. Then things happened. I got all the official licenses sorted and started my own ISHA IELTS, PTE & NAATI CLASSES.
Now, we are a big team of almost 30 staff members who are working in person as well as remotely with us. Now, here we are, the BEST PTE INSTITUTE IN BLACKTOWN; our students speak for us. Most of the students we teach are always coming from word-of-mouth. It’s not just another business; it’s our dedication towards our students’ work and success.
